We grow our seasonal plants in large 12cm pots at this time of the year.

This will give you a well-developed flowering sized plant that will establish quickly.

HARDY PANSY COOL WAVE

Cool Wave Pansies are the mainstay of our Hardy Seasonal selection.

They have a spreading trailing habit and flower continuously right through the winter providing that are planted in a reasonably sunny spot. The flowers are smaller than large flowered pansies and stand up to the weather much better.

They are much more robust than regular pansies covering at least three times the area, therefore, you can plant them around 9-12ins apart in borders or tubs. Three plants will easily fill a 14inch Hanging Basket.

They are suitable for Borders, Patio Tubs and Hanging Baskets.

We have the following colours –

PANSY  COOL WAVE BLUEBERRY SWIRL – bicolour yellow, cream, and pale blue and face.

PANSY  COOL WAVE BLUE SKIES – mid blue with golden centre and face.

PANSY  COOL WAVE FIRE – red with yellow centre and face.

PANSY  COOL WAVE FROST – white, edged pale blue with face.

PANSY  COOL WAVE GOLDEN YELLOW – pure golden yellow.

HARDY SORBET VIOLAS

Sorbet Violas are smaller than Cool Wave Pansies. They will also flower right through the winter in a sunny spot. The small flowers have excellent weather tolerance.

They have a compact habit and are useful for borders, Tubs and Hanging Baskets.

We put three plants in a pot to give you a nice potful.

We will have the following colours  from mid February onwards –

VIOLA   SORBET XP DEEP ORANGE – rich orange.

VIOLA   SORBET XP YELLOW BLOTCH – golden yellow with black eye.

VIOLA   SORBET XP PINK HALO – smoky pink with darker pink halo and eye.

VIOLA   SORBET XP DELFT BLUE – bright blue with white face and darker eye.

 

HARDY POLYANTHUS STELLA

A free flowering selection of Polyanthus giving a magnificent show of colour from late January onwards.

Polyanthus are more tolerant of damp conditions and shade than Pansies, they are highly recommended for Borders and Patio Tubs.

Plant in groups about 9-12ins apart. Three plants would be ideal for a 12-14inch tub.

POLYANTHUS    STELLA CHERRYADE – rich pink with yellow eye.

POLYANTHUS    STELLA SCARLET PIMPERNEL – scarlet red with golden eye.

HARDY WALLFLOWER SUNSET

Free flowering compact Wallflowers growing into neat bushes about 15-18ins high.

They flower April-May.

Plant Wallflowers in full sun in Borders and patio Tubs.

We have the following colours –

CHEIRANTHUS   SUNSET ORANGE – bronzy orange.

CHEIRANTHUS   SUNSET PRIMROSE – primrose yellow.

CHEIRANTHUS   SUNSET YELLOW – golden yellow.

 

HARDY CYCLAMEN

Cyclamen are great outdoors in the Autumn in Patio Tubs and Baskets but are best kept indoors after Christmas.

We have a full range of colours.

They are tolerant of temperatures down to about minus 5 centigrade.

 

HARDY DIANTHUS FESTIVAL

These Dwarf Sweet Williams give a good splash of colour in the Autumn and Spring.

Ideal for Patio Tubs and Borders in full sun, growing to about 8-10ins high.

Trim back dead flowers in the autumn to tidy the plants and encourage spring flowering.

We have the following colours, all mix well –

DIANTHUS          FESTIVAL DEEP RED – deep red with lighter eye.

DIANTHUS          FESTIVAL VIOLET – rich violet with lighter eye.

DIANTHUS          FESTIVAL VIOLET PICOTEE – rich violet with lighter edge.

DIANTHUS          FESTIVAL WHITE FLAME – white with vivid dark red centre and veins.

 

HARDY MYOSOTIS SYLVIA

Free flowering Forget-me-nots with a compact bushy habit to about 8 inches high.

They flower April-May.

Plant Forget-me-nots in full sun in Borders and Patio Tubs.

MYOSOTIS SYLVIA BLUE – rich true blue.

 

HARDY BELLIS BELLISSIMA

Free flowering Daisies with double pom-pom flowers in the Autumn and Spring.

Height 4-6ins, ideal for a sunny Border or Patio Tubs.

BELLIS   BELLISSIMA MIXED – mix of white, rose-pink and red.

 

HARDY IVY

Good long trails.

Ideal for Hanging Baskets and Patio Tubs.

 

HARDY CINERARIA SILVER DUST

A useful silver foliage plant mixes well with flowering plants in Borders and Patio Tubs.

Compact habit, height 10ins.
